are books that ARE NOT ON THE DATA BASES...ARE NOT ON THE DATA BASES....ARE
NOT ON THE DATA BASES...is that not the definition of scarce or rare...even
tho there are 15,000,000 titles...ARE NOT ON THE DATA BASES....do i really
have to be the psycho in this good will hunting...Nice little nasty scam by Powells..try looking up CARDS AS
WEAPONS...their copy is 20.00...try ordering it..you'll get to POWELLS
SCREEN..and then the note it is not available...WANT TO LOOK FOR SOMETHING
ELSE...switch and bait...bait and switch...this works for other books as
well...&&&&&&..why is POWELL'S at the bottom of EVERY SCREEN...preferential
placement....wasn;t this a scandal with both B&N & Amazon...At the Strand's RARE BOOK ROOM the other day, an oxymoron if there ever
was one, live 'round the corner..but never go...BAD VIBES...amidst the 200
1sts of John O'hara, 200 of John Garnders last 3 books, 500 John
Updikes...someone calls in for an O'hara book..miracle of miracles...I
eavesdrops...how much..$10.00...so much for rare books at half the price of
new mass paperbacks..and one third the price of specialty p.b...O BRAVE NEW WORLD....instead of individual titles..isn't it better to
think of subject areas that the internet opened up to O.P.
bookselling...Country & Western Music, Jazz, Astronauts, Martial Arts,
Motown, Art Instruction, Wrestling, Pedophilia...come on guys &
gals..you've got your own tastes...or are you all STRANDED out...waiting
for the evil outsider ripley...ummm..oh yeah..happy holidays...DRn..
