As I send my File to ABE..which includes 5 issues of Poetry a Mag. of
Verse...I hear on N.P.R. that it is Harriet Monroe's birthday...listening
right now to the slow piano cadence music on self-same of the End of the
Affair...Ed Dorn died yesterday...the greatest american poet of the New
West...he made 3 small paragraphs in the N.Y Times...Hank Snow rightfully
got 30...10 to 1..or 100 to l...poetry is a fool's game played over
time...the music of the mind..

X-mas hysteria..is it E-xmas yet...rules the waves..buy, bought,
buying..sold to the highest $$$..did better the last week than the last 3
years ago..a nice early Emily Dickinson, a Seurat Catal. Rais., a Signed
Jackie, signed by Jackie,...gave 3 presents of 300 and a 100 to the super,
a millenium of cash..

Glad it's over, booksellers be kind..the world won't be...what we hold
and love...can be bought and sold..too cheap the heart...best to
all...light them lights..DRn....
