Subject: m&r the end of the end of the end of...

As to the burning question of Drn..or Glands of Destiny...my vote
goes to the Gland that spent 100 bucks for four out 5 issues of Big Table
and another 50 buckaroos for a good 'nuf copy of the Lesbian Classic I AM A
WOMAN...go Gland go...

Just back... time to take my pants off...from END OF THE
AFFAIR...materpiece theater plus some fucking plus some English
impatience...minus minus minus....who wondered whether Graham Greene could
ever write an English Sentence...or as I sometime wonder all the Time...why
do I have a Doctorate in Eng. Lit...

If the book trade can get 5 to 10 grand for nice copies of G.G...than
the Lynux operating system stocks must be bargain basement...they've got
any imaginary future...this kind of MidBrowLawLitTweedDum has no viable
past...Eveyln be Waughed the same...

In ten years those Grahams will go well with Erte in the garages of
Boca Raton...where the kids of D.J. Spooky (just waved to us..eating
early-bird at Japanese Rest) will collect 6 zero hip-hop stuff to sell to
their blood brother entrepeneur cous's in Zimbawbe...

Graham Green, Evelyn Waugh, W.H.Auden, Stephen Spender,..5 billion
women novelists...a thousand years of fudge mixed with mulch and drunk down
with rot-gut turpentine...this isn't cultural imperialism, c'est...twas
brillig and slithey toves...when they're dead...why do they keep writing
and tallking and sailing over them Atlantic..

And then there was Hitchcock & The Beattles....the greatest artist of
the 20th cent to use Eng. as a vehicle of expression..go figure...me thru
out the fucking, the atmosphere, the slo-mo fall, the dissolve and fake cut
from inside to ouside of the End of the Affair..all i'm thinking of is IS
that book right at the end of the library in the writer's den...later than
mid war...d.j. looks too new..book looks too bulked up.....looks wrong to
me...i'm laying odds..than no cares but me me me..one speck in the wadded
gum of nothingness...DRn..
