rain settles in for the 2nd day, steady drizzle chance of thunder
storms by aft...some body beats me to the copy of van der elsken's Love on the
Left Bank before 6:00 at the Flee garage...the fold of the D.J. of
Spillane's VENGEANCE IS MINE splits as I'm mylaring it & then I do a sloppy
joy of taping up the fold and do the other fold badly because VENGEANCE IS
MINE...The woman from Sarasota returned the 250 LeWitt because the cover
was too yellowed...The Atlas guy in Ill.. seems to be wavering over the
tho..2 volume set I mailed out last week that took me half a day to
pack..and weighed bout half an elephant....the long day begins...If you look up Alfred Kreymboug, you'll get 5 titles...look up
Alfred Kreymborg...you'll get the other 100 or so...should be a default on
ABE & BB to inform misspeller...Worked to my advantage once had the only
misspelled item and the buyer misspelled it too...like winning at Lotto..As a compulsive reader of lists, ABPC (hundreds of obvious mistakes)
AB in the days of my youth...when I could actually see...and Baseball Stats
before that when I didn't even think about sight...I notice mucho errors on
the data bases...Once I ordered a book priced lkdfjeoiqwrjqf;nio;w4io
(sic)...the bookseller sd he send it right on...Next time I ordered a book
price 0...asked if the dealer gave a discount and could he throw in the
postage..Pretty much the same response...sight and irony are pretty much
wasted on most people....L sez I don't LIKE anyhing...I sez Why should I...She sez it;s
alright with her...I sez It's alright with me...I'm only half
American...only half a cockeyed optimist...the other half is my mother's
giving half her ration of piece of bread to her Friend in Siberia...he was
a big guy...he died anyway and my mother survived on half...that's my
optimism I guess...half a loaf here...DRn.
