Visiting the folks in Fl..the place (Levitt town with Palms) used to be
called Leisureville, too declasse, now called Del Ray Estates, could move
down here an offer a book with the early bird special.. Better Book Getter
sez his father's t here, does SCHTICK, they strap the left overs to the
cars here...all new cars grey white glinting in the bright Stock Market
Sun, so Nu what could be so bad...
Let me tell ya...visit the one bookstore in area..along torn up
Dixie Hwy..Very nice Brit..or Thick Brit Accent..Tres ordinaire stock..
Sallie plus one..the one book I consider buying Swartout..They Came to
Cordova..$10....is a 3rd printing, mylared up..20 miles from Palm
Beach....the rich must have cast off better junk than this...L sez I'm
being my usual self and should get over it..She buys 2 one dollar books to
read, didn't look at the Floridiana, or C.W. or Nautical which might be a
tad better...somehow doubt it..
The principle behind many of these stores is Hear No. Do No. See
No..just stack em in and let 'em gather dust...Between the Covers has two
new Great Catalagues..Mucho obscure fiction..that they selling for $$$..
good presentation, great color repros...Intelligence on the march...Why
bother...to lern anything, let Jeff do it..
The taiwanese piracy keep on comin'...just keep 'em comin'
folks,...I'm missing the Greenwich Village, did it for 18 years in a
row..should get a medal or metal detector before i go postal..loved the
parents and kiddies there..one Pa told me when I told him his darling was
mangling a $2,000 book..why did you bring such an expensve book..Which is
why i'm here..couldnt take it...
Why complain..my cc co. keeps calling..telling me i'm making too
much dollaros..i own a national treasure, all of Tenn. Williams each signed
and each also signed by most of the members of the original cast (see last
week diatribe) and the sun shineth equally on the good and on me...Dr N.
