Founded in 1982 by Forrest Proper and his mother, Betty Proper, Joslin Hall Rare Books is based in Cambridge and Concord, Massachusetts. A devout fan of the Patriots, Tip O'Neill, cats, good food and good conversation, Forrest is married (sorry, girls) and makes his home in Cambridge. We may as well tell you now that the name Joslin Hall is a family name!! In fact, Forrest is named for his glamorously 19th-century sounding grandfather, Forrest Joslin Hall.
