I'm on the 40th floor of some nondescipt metal-glass slab explaining to
the outer-borough secretary of some rich lawyer who D.V. is...I'm wondering if
she doesn't notice my ground to the heel shoes, my atlas-barber school $5.00
hair cut, my third day tee shirt- yes Diana Vreeeeeland...yaketee yak yak....
yaketee..outside the huge panoramic window is a jumbled
picket fence of jagged towers..the safety net of capitalism
stuck on the poles of real estate...Her boss Mr x of x, y, do re mi...has spend 3 grand for six copies of a
book which shows rich people in their natural habitat pool, parties,
long winding driveways from road to mansion...yaketee yak...i'm
here to deliver what I hope was the most expensive copy...sold
to her thru a search service..thot i'd deliver it meself...meet
the customer or at least the sec...yakettee yak...must have put
on my proffesorial blather routine..she calls later "Was that
Hollywood Squares...No ,Dear, Hollywood Costume...Who would have thunk it ,like starving generations before me, i'm
really in the 'schmatte" bizness, that and e-bizness
entertainment...there's some irony here too deep and devious
for me to comment on..Woke up yesterday to some usual e-mails...Idiot #1 wanted to know if i
misplaced a decimal point in a price so he could time travel back to the
50's...Idiot #2 wanted me to price his Donna Karan book for him...just burn it
would have been fine....anger violence hostility rage...we're a nation of
killers...the best the biggest the winner of winners....in the sea we all swim
about and gasp for air..DRn.
