Prices for scarce books, with no language barrier, i.e., Art and
Photography and Design will double and triple. $1,000 will not seem like a
lot of money for one book for 3 billion people. The tremendous amount of
advertising and money both B&N and Amaz. are pouring into advertising will
accelerate this process. The middle of the country will catch up with the
two ends..and hopefully some of the whining will stop (from book sellers of
all people) that prices are too high. Long shoremen, who mostly have H.S.
degrees, average $76,000 a year. People in the o.p trade will almost make
a living. B&N and Amaz may start buying up entire store stocks.. There
will be a cable channel devoted to Art and Rare books... Books on, about,
by..Popular American Culture...music, movies, t.v. will explode..America
pop culture is the teen age culture of the world...There may be courses in
Schools on Selling Books on the Net..Younger people will finally enter the
field who are used to paying $75 for a text book...The seller who put the
237th Stephen King 1st on will implode..The younger book seller will know
American refers to Jazz and Rap not books about 18th century exp. no-body
wants..Librarians will wake up from a few 100 years of slumber and realize
there in a pop field and buy some books..&....Dr. N.
