dote: upon the menus of yesteryear at menus d'hier. included, a reproduction of what gerald ford served up to queen eliz. ii at the white house in 1976. still sounds very tasty, i must say. the 19th-c. menus are particularly cool (how did they ever manage to eat that much?) text in french. (p.s. we looked up 'goinfre' and it means something rather like, 'big fat pig'.)

marvel: at the charming quentin tarantino story we found on some blog or other. and did you know that franco moschino never bought a fancy car. he said the following: 'i'm interested in the social, psychological, geographical and spiritual implications of our way of appearing. clothes should be screens on which we can project our spirit. we all need love, tenderness, simple things. the smallest, stupidest fabric dolls offer us the intimate sensation of existing.' digressing, you say!? but this entire exercise is a digression.
