- publish: your novel at lulu. and even sell it: lulu prints your book
on demand, handles fulfillment, and they'll pay you a royalty. they will
not arrange cocktail parties or book signings, but that may be a good thing.

- consider: diane keaton as the poser
in 'sleeper', exclaiming breathily, 'it's keane, it's pure keane!' tiny
did woody allen realize that this was not satire, but merely a spot-on
prediction. for while rod mckuen may not be so stylin right now, mark ryden surely is. the skintight brilliance
of ryden's technique seems to gloss over a near-total absence of coherent
meaning; these are the formulaic, tissue-thin documents of a pure pop style.
and yet, i keep ordering his books and things.

- read: classic film reviews by moviediva. the site is apparently
an avocational project of the film curator at the north carolina museum
of art. hundreds of classic movies reviewed in snappy and knowledgeable
style, by a film scholar with a sense of humor (not, as previously supposed,
an oxymoron! who knew.)
