- read to kids: george saunders and lane smith's the very persistent gappers of frip is the best children's book we have seen in ages. gently cynical and knee-slappingly hilarious, this is a book for our times. fans of roald dahl and edward gorey will be thrilled to the marrow. give as a gift, and instantly achieve favorite uncle status.
